Saint Andrew Kim Taegon and Companions
Andrew Kim Taegon (1821-1846), the first Korean-born Catholic priest, was martyred with Paul Chong Hasang and over 100 companions. They are honored as witnesses to faith in Korea, reminding us of the courage needed to follow Christ.
Daily Reflection
Jesus teaches that true greatness lies in humility and service. The disciples struggled with ambition, but Christ points to a child as the model of trust and simplicity. The martyrs of Korea embody this teaching, serving God even unto death.
Prayer:
Lord, make us humble servants, ready to love and serve others as you did. Amen.
